Hi there! Welcome to my blog. I am a therapist who has been through many incarnations during my 28 year career. I am aiming to create a space to share non-traditional thought as it relates to mental health, wellness and healing, so if you are curious, jump right in. I think it is time! So many folks seem to be hungry for a deeper way of knowing and understanding. As a Jungian therapist, I know how art, dreams, astrology, exploration into the numinous has helped me grow. I know it can help you, too.
Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction. ~ Rumi
How this particular blog began is a long story….I had been posting a blog for many years and yesterday a customer service rep (from a media company that shall remain unnamed) accidentally erased it! Of course I was very sad at first. And mad! This was a collection of photographs, articles and ponderings that I will never be able to recover. I was put on hold waiting to lodge my complaint, but after 10 minutes I realized that they were probably hoping I would hang up. So I did. I pushed the button, disconnected, put the phone down and took a deep breath. I realized that the people who were responsible for this didn’t really seem to care. They would go home, eat their dinner, perhaps spend time with their families watching movies or enjoying the early summer sky. And me? I could either fan the flames of a slow simmering anger, or I could begin to just let it go, enjoy my evening, too. My anger certainly wasn’t going to impact them in any meaningful way. It would only serve to raise my blood pressure, release all sorts of bad chemicals throughout my body, make me lose sleep. Will I ever do business with them again? Certainly not! But, have I let it go? Yes! How did I do that? I realized that the old website and blog needed a facelift anyway. I allowed myself about half an hour to gnash my teeth and fume, then I began to make a plan about creating a new blog. Ruminating on how I was wronged or the lost material only served to make me miserable. Perhaps it reflects some of the personal and professional changes I have made over the past months due to shelter in place. I have had time to reflect on exploring my personal truths. In the face of illness, death, poverty, hunger, homelessness and suffering, my blog is really small potatoes. Really small.
So, that’s the story. May you find something here helpful, nurturing or comforting.

Meditating With Your Astrological Archetypes
Several years ago, I began to arrive at the office about an hour before I saw my first client. I kicked off the morning with coffee, meditation, and spending precious time with my journal. Since COVID-19 hit and I am only providing telehealth, finding solitude has been a bit more challenging. I am just now … Continue reading Meditating With Your Astrological Archetypes
Scorpio Rising
When I was a child, my Aunt Thelma would wait for the Scranton Times-Tribune to check out Sydney Omar’s daily horoscope column. She would sip her coffee and read the daily prediction for whoever was sitting around the kitchen table. I was always polite, but never really thought he was very accurate. Looking back though, … Continue reading Scorpio Rising
Are Men Really From Mars?
If you identify as a man are you from Mars? I am a woman and I have a Mars, so does that mean I’m not from Venus? Well, the answer is we all have a Mars and we all have a Venus and it gets tricky when we assign gender to planets. Personally, I like … Continue reading Are Men Really From Mars?
